This post is part of a L’appel Du Vide feature, Misadventure Mondays. In each segment, I’ll ask one of my favorite travel bloggers to share one of their Travel Misadventures. This Monday, Michael from Go, See, Write shares his story about a boat ride in Egypt. Tell me a little about yourself and your current trip? Well my current trip is just permanent travel. When I found out I was going to Egypt in early 2011, I had no idea what to do during my visit. One thing I kept being told was a ‘must do’ was a cruise down (or up) the Nile. So, always being a doer of the “most dos,” I signed myself up for a four day/three night cruise up the Nile from Aswan up to Luxor on the MS Beau Soliel, one of the many large river boats. But its not a bad story. This is not a story of an awful night in Egypt. This is not a story of getting robbed or harassed. This is not a caution story of being safe while traveling. But it could have been. This is a very boring story and sometimes that is a good thing. … Read More

However, aside from these wonders of the world, there are actually about 130 OTHER pyramids that have been discovered in Egypt – many of which predate the famous threesome.
