There exists a psychological phenomenon in which perfectly sane people, with no desire to die, find themselves faced with a steep cliff and experience a strong desire to leap. To jump from their safe vantage point into the unknown. This phenomenon is so common in fact, that the french have a term for it: L’appel du Vide – Call of the Void.

I don’t normally take part in blogger competitions but I saw this one and it really caught my eye. Mainly because it gave me an excuse to go through and look at photos from my trips. Arlington National Cemetery is located just outside of DC. It is the final resting place of many of America’s soldiers and is considered the nations most hallowed ground. The cemetery is so beautiful you find yourself forgetting just how many people are burried there.
Tulip Bulbs for sale in Amsterdam Did you know that in the 1600′s Amsterdam was at the height of Tulip Mania? Apparently the tulip bulb of 1637 was the beanie baby of 1995, with Tulip prices climbing to astronomical heights before suddenly dropping. I’m not making this up.
